Two arrests made in a trio of weekend stabbings

It was a busy weekend for Beckley Police officers as they investigated three unrelated stabbings around the city on Friday and Sunday afternoon.  Two people have been arrested and police have a person of interest in the third investigation.

The first took place at 9 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 7.  Natonya Mangini, 40, said she was stabbed in the back of the neck by her boyfriend, Anthony Curry.  Mangini was taken to Raleigh General Hospital where she was treated and released.   Curry was arrested and charged with Malicious Assault.  He is being held in the Southern Regional Jail on a $15,000 bond.

Several hours later, Beckley Police officers were called to the McDonalds at 11:45 p.m.   A woman there had apparently been stabbed in the left rear and right arm.  The woman was taken to Beckley Appalachian Regional Hospital for treatment.  There is a person of interest in the case, but no arrests have been made.

On Sunday, Feb. 9, Officers with the Beckley Police were called to a stabbing on Stansbury St.  Lacosta Robinson, 37, was stabbed in the back with a kitchen knife.  The incident happened at around 1 p.m. Delilah Vicky Robinson, 56, was arrested in the case.  She is being held in the Southern Regional Jail on $15,000 bond.
