Mark White Fine Art Announces Unprecedented Dual Show in Mixed Media.

Santa Fe, NM, USA – February 14, 2014 /MarketersMedia/ —

From July 11 – August 25, 2014, Javier Lopez Barbosa and jd Hansen will come together for a show of contrasting artistic elements at Mark White Fine Art on historic Canyon Road. The artist reception will take place on Friday, July 11 from 5:00-8:00pm Mountain Time.

The abstract expressionistic works of Javier Lopez Barbosa will be displayed in conjunction with jd Hansen’s bronze sculptures. Barbosa’s oil/mixed media on canvas pieces are moving. No matter the color scheme Barbosa chooses, whether it’s color fields of lilac next to golden yellows and bordered by piercing turquoise, or a monochromatic theme enhanced by pops of red, there is always a climactic point – a place that pulls the viewer in. Sculptor jd Hansen’s enigmatic bronze pieces are visual echoes of her very core. Hansen infuses palpable emotion and insight into each of her thought-provoking compositions. The tilt of her subject’s head or the subtle slope of its back speaks much louder than words could express. This show is sure to stir deep thought and an emotional response from all who attend.

In addition to this dynamic exhibition, Mark White Fine Art will participate in three of Canyon Road’s most well-known and beloved events: Edible Art Tour (an integral part of ArtFeast), Passport to the Arts and The Historic Canyon Road Paint Out. The Edible Art Tour is February 23, Passport will take place on Mother’s Day Weekend (May 9-11) and the Paint Out is October 17 and 18. Anyone interested in art is invited to come.

Mark White Fine Art is located on Canyon Road in Santa Fe, New Mexico. Visitors are welcomed by Mark White’s signature kinetic wind sculptures and are granted an inimitable journey through art and motion that continues as they cross the gallery’s threshold. Built in the 1700s, the gallery houses many mediums presented in new and exciting ways. Works by Javier Lopez Barbosa, Ethan White, Charles Veilleux and Mark White fill the gallery walls; and sculptures in bronze by jd Hansen round out the inside.
