MCDOWELL COUNTY -

A levy was passed in McDowell County without many people voting against it. The levy will be used for funding of textbooks, teacher salaries, school improvements and more.

757 people voted for the levy while only 57 people voted against it.

The levy goes into effect on the first of July.
