UPDATE:

Hinton Police and Troopers located and arrested Blaine Adkins around 9 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 18.  He is suspected of stealing 3 guitars from the Hinton Gospel Tabernacle Church on Feb. 6.

Adkins is facing charges of Breaking and Entering, Destruction of Property, and Grand Larceny.


ORIGINAL STORY:

Hinton Police are asking for help from the community to find the man they believe broke into a church and stole thousands of dollars worth of guitars.

Chief Derek Snavely obtained an arrest warrant for Blaine Andrew Adkins, 33, of Hinton, WV. Adkins if facing charges of Breaking and Entering, Destruction of Property, and Grand Larceny.

The break-in happened at the Hinton Gospel Tabernacle Church on Feb. 6.  Police said Adkins broke a window on the back of the church to get inside. Three guitars worth around $6,500 were stolen. Hinton Police recovered all three guitars on Monday, Feb. 17,  but Chief Snavely said they had been damaged in the theft.
