A pair of trials have occurred in McDowell County in connection with the death of War Mayor Thomas Hatcher.  Once of those was against the deceased Mayor's Daughter-in-Law, Rebecca Hatcher.  She was acquitted of the murder charge, but still faces a conspiracy charge.

The reason that Hatcher faces another trial, is because the jury could not reach a decision on the Conspiracy charge back in November.  The new trial was set for February, but the Prosecuting Attorney's office in McDowell County has confirmed that trial has now been pushed back to June 2 at 9 a.m.

In a trial held in January, Hatcher's brother Earl Click, was found guilty of killing Tom Hatcher.  He was also found guilty on a felony conspiracy charge.
