Contributions being accepted following deadly accident in Mercer County

As deputies continue to work out what happened in an accident that killed two young children, contributions are being accepted for the families.  Investigators have released the names of the children who were killed. Madison Tiller was 4-years-old and Daralyn Cook was 19-months old.

Lt. Joe Parks with the Mercer County Sheriff's Office said that contributions can be made at and First Community Bank in the name of Daralyn Cook and Madison Tiller.  Donations can also be mailed to P.O. Box 3068, Bluefield, WV 24701.




After spending all day re-constructing the scene where two children were killed in a car accident, Mercer County Sheriff's deputies said they're learning more about What exactly happened Wednesday night.

Deputies tell 59News based on conflicting statements and physical evidence at the scene they are concentrating the investigation on the driver of the RAV-4 involved in the accident.  If charges are filed, it would be up to Prosecuting Attorney Scott Ash.

On Wednesday, March 5, three vehicles were involved in an accident in Brushfork along Route 52 around 7 p.m. Two children died as a result of the crash.
