A fire that happened at the Good Samaritan Food Pantry nearly three weeks ago, has not kept the organization from providing for the families it serves.  Leaders with the group have set up shop in the Old Addington Boat Building on Kemps Ridge Road.

Ralph "Moon" Mullins, the manager of the food pantry, said they gave out food two days last week for the first time since the fire which happened on Thursday, Feb. 20.

Mullins said that they still need food and monetary donations as well as volunteers to help move food into their renovated building. He said that he has already turned the building over to contractors and hopes to begin rebuilding within the next two weeks.

The general manager of Ramey Richlands said their location will continue to be a drop-off donation location and they will drop off the donations at the Kemps Ridge Road location until the new permanent building is constructed.
