Bond reduced for Fayette County teacher accused of kidnapping

A former teacher at Collins Middle School was back in a Fayette County courtroom on Thursday, March 13.

Joshua Taylor, 30, of Weirton was arrested in January for allegedly kidnapping a 13-year-old girl from Oak Hill.  The girl's disappearance sparked a missing person report on Saturday, Jan. 18. She was found on Sunday, and Taylor was picked up by police in the St. Mary's area near Parkersburg on Monday, Jan. 20.

Taylor's bond was originally set for $100,000 cash only.  On Thursday, March 13, Judge John Hatcher ruled that was unreasonable.  Taylor's bond is now set at $60,000 with surety.
