FRANKLIN, WV -

William A. Loving Jr., president and CEO of Pendleton Community Bank in Franklin, has completed his year as chairman of the Independent Community Bankers of America. He now will continue on ICBA's board of directors for another year as the immediate past chairman.

Loving was elected during the 2014 ICBA National Convention in Honolulu. The organization represents some 7,000 community banks — the only national trade association dedicated exclusively to promoting the interests of locally operated community banks and savings institutions.

He is a past president of the Community Bankers of West Virginia, where he serves as board member, legislative committee member and in other roles. He is a member of the executive committee at West Virginia Bankers Title and the Pendleton County Economic and Community Development Authority.

He was a charter board member of the Pendleton County Chamber of Commerce and Pendleton County Convention and Visitors Bureau. He was awarded the chamber's Business Person of the Year award in 2010 and again in 2013.

He also is a trustee of the Graduate School of Banking at Louisiana State University and a past instructor at the West Virginia School of Banking. Last year, he was awarded the Federal Home Loan Bank of Pittsburgh's highest individual honor, the Council's Award, in 2013.
