The front end of a tractor-trailer was engulfed in flames Friday night along I-77 in Mercer County.

The fire broke out in the Northbound lanes just outside the Camp Creek exit.

Alexander Hudson, the driver of the tractor-trailer was traveling from Atlanta to Ohio.

Hudson said he just filled his truck up with diesel and as he started traveling his brakes locked up and he started seeing flames and smoke filling up into the cab.

He then pulled his truck over and bailed out.

Hudson says he lost all of his possessions including his wallet.

After finishing up a career in the military Hudson decided to take up truck driving but after this experience he says he's "done."

Hudson made it out of incident without injuries.

West Virginia State Police and Bluestone Fire Department were dispatched by Mercer County EMS around 6:41PM Friday.
