Thomas Means was captured Sunday, April 6.

He is now back in custody of the Beckley Correctional Center.

A man who was being held in the Beckley Correctional Center on charges out of Kanawha County is the subject of a manhunt on Friday afternoon.

Thomas Means, 31, was reported missing from the Beckley Correctional Center after a count was done at 11:40 a.m. on Friday, April 4.  Means is serving a sentence of one to 15 years from Breaking and Entering.  The crime was committed in Kanawha County.  Means now faces a felony Escape charge.

Means in 5-feet 10-inches tall and 152-pounds.  He has brown hair and blue eyes.  He was last seen wearing a gray hoodie and sweats.  He also has the following tattoos:

  • "Means" in the center of his back
  • "RIP" with a cross on his upper right arm
  • "TRU" on his stomach
  • "Game Over" with cards on his right chest
  • "Lezlie" on his left chest
  • "Only God Can Judge Me" on his left upper arm
