    A nationwide debate is taking place after an unarmed black teenager was shot and killed by a white police officer in Ferguson, Missouri .Ferguson cops were given body cameras by two companies after allegations have been made against protesters, who are outraged by the shooting.Soon police around the country could be wearing body cameras.

UPDATE:

Beckley Police have an arrest in connection with the robbery at Quality Inn on Harper Road.  The robbery happened early Sunday morning.

Detectives picked up  Ronald "RJ" Mayo, 31, of Beckley at around 12:30 p.m. on Tuesday, April 8.  The arrest came just hours after a warrant was issued for Mayo's arrest. 

He is charged with First Degree Robbery.  Investigators said that Mayo went into the Quality Inn and gave a note to the front desk clerk.  The note said that he had a gun and demanded money.  Mayo got away with an undisclosed amount of cash.

Beckley Police detectives said that tips from the community helped lead to Mayo's arrest.


ORIGINAL STORY:

Police are looking for a black male wanted for robbing a hotel in Beckley last night.  Beckley police said the call came in around 1 a.m. for officers to respond to the Quality Inn hotel on Harper Road.
     
We're told the man slipped a note to the front desk clerk saying he had a gun and wanted money. We're not sure right now how much money the suspect got off with or if he actually had a weapon on him.  If you have ANY information on who this might be call Beckley Police immediately.
