The Marshall County Sheriff's Department is searching for the driver of a truck who drove over and damaged dozens of grave markers and grave sites at the Highland Cemetery in Cameron.
Marshall County Sheriff Kevin Cecil reported that over the weekend, they received and responded to a complaint at the cemetery after a resident reported that a pickup truck had entered the cemetery and drove off the roadway. The resident reported that the truck had gotten stuck and upon trying to free himself, drove over and damaged dozens of markers and grave sites.
Some evidence was collected at the site and the truck is believed to be a GMC model. A white car also reportedly came to the cemetery as well to assist the vehicle in freeing itself. Anyone with information is asked to call the Sheriff's Department at 304-843-1500.
