TAZEWELL, Va. -

After witnessing the Boston bombings in 2013, Lee Hunter, is headed back to the Boston Marathon for her 19th year in a row.

After she finished the race in 2013 she said she had no idea what was going on.

"I looked back and saw the fire. I had no idea it was a terrorist attack. Everyone was just screaming and panicking."

While Lee was running, her husband and daughter watched on the sidelines. Her daughter, Campbell Hunter, said that when she heard the explosion she was scared for her life.

"I didn't know if my mom was dead or I was going to be killed," she said.

Hunter told 59 News she had no intention of not participating this year in the race.

"I've been there 18 times, and 20 Boston Marathons is the goal I set for myself," she said.
