Hinton Police are still searching for the person who shot another man on Main Street in Hinton on Sunday night.

Investigators said that Derek Williams was taken to Summers County ARH with a gunshot wound to the buttocks.  Williams was shot near the elementary school in Main Street at around 9 p.m. on Sunday, April 13. Williams has since been released from the hospital.

Police said that the shooting may have been connected to a fight.  They said several people were involved, but it is unclear who the shooter was.  Williams has been questioned by police, but they said he is not cooperating with the investigation. Hinton Police said they are looking for the shooter both on foot and in a vehicle described to them by witnesses.
