Jessica Schueler, a native of Southern West Virginia, is the WVNS Morning Anchor.
Jessica recently returned to the Mountain State from Tampa, FL, where she was Director of Communications for Miss America’s Outstanding Teen, the “little sister” program to the Miss America Organization, which is the largest scholarship provider for women in the world. In addition to representing the organization on the nationally syndicated talk show "Daytime" in Tampa, she had the opportunity to work with well known personalities such as Fox News Correspondent Gretchen Carlson, choreographer Cris Judd, and American Idol star Justin Guarini.
Jessica graduated from ConcordUniversity with a Bachelors degree in Communications and Public Relations. While a student at Concord, she hosted her own radio show for the university’s station WCUR. After graduating from Concord in 2009, Jessica worked as a recruiter for the university, as well as coordinating their Scholars of Distinction program.
She has been a guest feature writer for WV LIVING Magazine and Prerogative Magazine. Jessica was also featured as an on-air guest with the Home Shopping Network.
When she isn't chasing the news, Jessica enjoys volunteering her time at her church's television broadcasting ministry and with the American Cancer Society's fundraiser Relay For life.
