CHARLESTON, WV -
According to a criminal complaint issued by the Kanawha County Magistrate Court, police spoke with the 16-year-old male on Wednesday, May 7, about a possible sexual relationship between him and Brumley, who was the 16-year-old's assigned case worker. He told police that sexual acts had occurred between him and Brumley over at least the last month.
The complaint says that police later spoke with Brumley, and she admitted that both her and the 16-year-old had sexual intercourse one time at his house, and also told police it was common for her to visit him privately and talk to him on the telephone during late night hours.
Brumley is being held in jail on a $100,000 bond. _____ ORIGINAL:
A Child Protective Services worker was arrested Thursday, May 8 in Kanawha County, WV for sexual assault of a 16-year-old male.
According to the Kanawha County Sheriff's Office, 32-year-old Kara Brumley, of Pinch, WV, was charged with sexual assault by a custodian.
Brumley is being arraigned at the Kanawha County Courthouse.
