West Virginia State Police are now in the process of its annual Marijuana Eradication.
Every year beginning in the Spring through the end of October, each detachment of State Police are loading up into helicopters and searching for patches and fields of marijuana plants.

They're focusing on woods, gardens, backyards, National and State Parks. Corporal S. A. Murphy says you can help them.

Things to look for would be, people coming out of the woods with water jugs or gardening tools. If you're out in the woods and see a keeled up garden area in the middle of the woods or if you actually see a marijuana patch, please give us a call, "Murphy said.

They ask anyone with information to call their local detachment of State Police. All tips can remain anonymous.
