The West Virginia State Fire Marshal's Office is investigating an Elkins fire that happened at approximately 1 p.m. Thursday.
Firefighters responded to a vacant two-story house near U.S. Routes 219 and 250 and were at the scene for just over an hour, said the Elkins Fire Department. There was no one in the building at the time of the fire, and the cause is currently unknown.
Firefighters from Beverly and Junior Volunteer Fire Departments assisted at the scene.
