iAbrasive analysts make an analysis on Friday about black silicon carbide market trends. The difference between first-class black SiC market and secondary SiC market is conspicuous in recent month.
Zhengzhou, China (PRWEB) July 11, 2014
First-grade Black Silicon Carbide: sluggish market
Since supply exceeds demand in abrasive grains market, the price of China first-grade black silicon carbide has declined slightly. Suppliers think it's difficult to get orders.
News from a metallurgical plant with 1,000 tons black silicon carbide in stock in inner Mongolia reveals that at present, 97 black silicon carbide factory price is 5,550 Yuan per ton, compared to the price last year, it declined 50 Yuan per ton.
"There was sluggish market both in China and abroad for first-class black silicon carbide," says a relevant personnel, "because demand for second-grade product, we do not plan to adjust production."
Insiders from a metallurgical plant with 2000 tons monthly output silicon carbide reveal that 98 black silicon carbide factory price is 5700 Yuan, decreased 50 Yuan per ton compared to that of the last month.
"Because refractory market is confronted with a hard period, our downstream consuming industries show little interest to purchase first-class black silicon carbide." Not having done any output adjustment resulted in more companies to decline the price of first-grade SiC so as to get more orders.
Black Silicon Carbide Secondary Market: firm and stable
According to Chinese abrasives manufacturers, so far China silicon carbide market maintains firm and stable that many suppliers predict to raise its offer when black silicon carbide is in short supply in the following weeks.
A black silicon carbide manufacturer whose factory located in Ningxia, reveals that its monthly output hit 11,000 tons in June; the factory price of black silicon carbide 88-90# (raw block) on Tuesday was 3950 Yuan per ton, basically the same as that of last month.
"There are powerful demand for secondary product but we have little stock at the moment," an insider reveals. "We do not plan to receive any orders from new clients because all secondary products will be supplied to our regular customer; besides, we plan to adjust price in a short period."
Another black SiC manufacturer from Ningxia says that the factory monthly output was 1000 tons, and that the factory price of black silicon carbide 88-90# (raw block) on Tuesday was 4,350 Yuan per ton, basically the same as that of last month.
"Tension supply for secondary products is extreme that we have no stock at present." An insider says, "Despite the fact that secondary product is well-received, its current profit is too low."
