A look at the New Orleans Saints Training facility at the Greenbrier

Posted: Updated:
The beautiful West Virginia backdrop sets the scene for the 2014 New Orleans Saints training camp.  The facility is up, the lines are are the field and the resort is now just putting on the finishing touches.

"It's a beautiful facility, and I know the Saints are really excited and we're out of our minds to have them and to have them in West Virginia," said Greenbrier resort owner Jim Justice.

The 55,000 square foot building has meeting rooms, training and physical therapy accommodations with ice baths and treatment tables.  Just to make sure the players stay hydrated they provide lots of fluids including a room almost completely filled with Gatorade.

There are three practice fields where they will hold 15 practices and one scrimmage, all open to the public.

"To have people be able to come and enjoy practices and see these superstars compete and win positions on this great team and just get ready to play all the games and get ready for the Super Bowl."

Greats like Drew Brees and Jimmy Graham will be in their locker room that's already equipped with shoulder pads, helmets, backpacks and shoes.

As the anticipation is building for the teams arrival Wednesday, Justice thinks this camp could be the biggest event at the Greenbrier yet.

"I think we're really in for something special this week, maybe even bigger than the golf tournament, maybe even bigger than that."

The Saints first practice will be Friday morning from 8:50 a.m. to 11:40 a.m.
