"It has to rain really hard for a long time to do major damage or to make us say oh this is hard," Marlene Jolliffe said.

Fair officials say that even if the rain does continue, they are prepared for it. No matter what happens there's always something for someone to do.

"We were planning on coming yesterday, but obviously it was worse yesterday. But really it doesn't bother me at all. I like the rain because it's been so hot lately," Jacob Persiani said.

Ride operators said the main concern with the weather is lightning. They have to stay on high alert, especially for the higher rides at the fair. But officials say by looking at the forecast it's all uphill from here.
