2 arrested for stealing a toy fund bucket in Wyoming County

While police are still looking for the suspect who stole a toys for tots jar in Bluefield, police in Wyoming County make an arrest for a very similar crime.

Mullens police arrested Kasranda Daniels Saturday, December 12, 2015 for stealing a toy fund cash bucket in Dairy Queen in Mullens. When the toy fund came to the Dairy Queen to pick up the donation bucket employees noticed it was missing. Officers were able to view video footage and found the theft on camera.

Daniels is charged with petit larceny and conspiracy to commit a misdemeanor. Her bond was set at $2,500. Daniels was currently out on bond in Raleigh county at the time of her arrest. Also arrested was Brian Shrewsbury. He’s charged with conspiracy to commit a misdemeanor. His bond was set at $1,000. Both of them were taken to Southern Regional Jail.

The money collected would have been used to purchase Christmas toys for underprivileged children in Wyoming County.
