2 miners injured in accident out of Wyoming County


An accident at a coal mine in Wyoming County sends two miners to the hospital.  It happened on Tuesday, Sept. 29, 2015 at the Brooks Run Wyoming #2 mine in Brenton, WV.

According to initial reports from the West Virginia Officer of Miners Health, Safety and Training the miners were hit by a scoop.  The injuries were not considered life-threatening, but one of the miners injuries were considered serious.  Their names have not been released at this time.  One person was taken to Raleigh General Hospital and the other was taken to Charleston Area Medical Center.

Investigators are on the scene.
