You may think you’ve been going to the State Fair of West Virginia for a long time, but one Greenbrier County woman said she’s never missed one!
On Wednesday, August 16, we met Kathleen Morgan, who is 97-years-old, and she said she hasn’t missed a State Fair! She grew up in Ronceverte and has been attending the fair every single year since she was child. 59News talked with Morgan and her daughter, Linda Bennett, about why they keep coming back.
“Seeing the quilts and eating. I like eating at the fair,” Morgan said. When asked what her favorite memory was attending the fair with her mother, Bennett agreed: it’s all about the food! “With her eating; she loves eating! She like the corn dogs, the ice cream, the pizza – all the fair foods,” Bennett said.
Morgan’s daughters, granddaughter and two great grandsons were at the fair with her on Wednesday, which was the second day this week she’s been at the fairgrounds!
