The Chick-fil-a Biddy Buddy Basketball All-Star Tournament tipped off at the YMCA in Beckley.

Nearly sixty-teams of all ages will compete this weekend. The tournament has been around the last 44 years and has been a starting point for local athletes to learn the basic skills of Basketball. Jay Risk, CEO of the YMCA Southern West Virginia says, “we get some of the future stars, we get to see some great basketball and it’s a great way to just bring youth together and get them active. So we are very happy  that we can do that.”

This year the tournament had special speakers from the NBA, JJ Redick of the LA Clippers and Beckley’s own and Former NBA player, Tamar Slay. The tournament championship will wrap up on Sunday morning at the YMCA in Beckley.
