All Tazewell County Public Schools are now fully accredited. Assistant Superintendent Dr. Chris Stacy said on Wednesday September 14, 2016 they received the state report card. Every school year in the spring, students take Standards of Learning Assessments. We are told students have to have certain pass rates in core subjects including math, history, English and science. Stacy said students met the state benchmark for those test assessments leading to all schools being fully accredited.
Stacy said, “Our folks and kids have worked so hard. It’s really a tribute to their hard work. We again, just commend them for all the good things that they’re doing.”
There are 16 schools in Tazewell County.
