Residents in Wyoming County are participating in the “Make It Shine” program. The annual Tire and Scrap Metal Drive is held on Saturday, May 9, 2015. It’s sponsored by the Wyoming County Commission and the Wyoming County Solid Waste Authority. You can dump up to 15 tires and scrap metal like refrigerators free of charge. It’s being held at the old Division of Highways building on Rockview Road.
Wyoming County Commissioner Silas Mullins said, “I enjoy it. It’s more hands and we’re always looking for ways to help people help themselves. It’s been a success the last 8 years and we hope to continue it.”
The event kicks off at 8 a.m. and runs through 4 p.m.
