Beckley ARH hospital is named the safest hospital in Southern West Virginia. A recent study by Leapfrog, a national nonprofit group aimed at recognizing hospitals for their performance, gave Beckley ARH a grade “A” on hospital safety. The score is based on more than 200 components. Leapfrog looks at things such as infections and surgery.
CEO Rocco Massey shares what he believes sets his hospital apart, “This hospital stays in an ongoing state of what we call performance improvement, so each and everyday we strive to be better than the previous day and our commitment over the last 2 years now is demonstrated in this fantastic score.”
The only other hospital in the state to receive a grade “A” was Berkeley Medical Center. Summersville Regional Medical center was the only hospital in the state to receive a “D”.
