Beckley bar launches fundraiser for infant recovery center

Fund raising is on the menu at Shooter’s Bar and Grill in Beckley. 

On Friday, the local eatery launched a fundraiser initiative for Lily’s Place, a non-profit care center for babies who are born exposed to drugs. In addition to providing care for infants, the center also provides assistance and counseling for families struggling with addictions. The center is located at 1320 Seventh Avenue in Huntington.

“We need to help them this organization is mainly runs off of donations and we need the community to come together and donate their time and their money to help these babies,”Shooters Bar Manager, Stephanie Murray said. 

From  Friday,  April 15 to Thursday, April 19, Shooters will serve as a drop off site and will be collecting various supplies for Lily’s Place. The list includes:

Size 1 and newborn diapers
Paper towels
Baby laundry soap for HE washers
Febreeze
Non-latex non-powder gloves
One piece pacifiers
Stamps
Garbage bags
Chlorox or Lysol wipes
Windex
Swifter replacements
Gallons water
Toilet cleaner
Copier paper
