The cold weather has arrived and one Raleigh County foundation his helping to make sure the homeless have sufficient clothes for the winter. One Voice is hosting a community closest to hand out clothes and various other items to the homeless. Organizers said this is a great way to give back to the community, especially to those who don’t have much.
“The clothing has been cleaned and it has been screened. It has been washed. It’s very good clothing and we want to be a blessing in our community,” said Melonie Terry, Program Director for One Voice.
The community closet will be held on Jan. 23, 2016 at 11 a.m. It runs until 4 p.m. and is being held at One Voice’s office on S. Kanawha St in Beckley.
