Beckley Police search for sex abuse suspect


 A man who allegedly harassed and groped a woman at a department store in Beckley is wanted by police.  The incident happened on Friday, May 1, 2015 at around noon.  According to detectives, a woman told police that the suspect had harassed her inside of Ollies, then followed her to her car where he allegedly groped her and then ran off.  Investigators said that they were able to speak with witnesses and review surveillance video.

The suspect was wearing a black sleeveless t-shirt, dark colored hat and blue jeans with orange reflective striping.  He also had a “coal mining tattoo” on his upper right arm that shows a coal mining pick and helmet.  He is between 5-feet 10-inches and 6-feet 1-inch tall and weighs between 170 and 190 pounds.

The suspect is considered dangerous.  Anyone with information on the incident, or who knows the suspect is asked to contact Cpl. Morgan Bragg at the Beckley Police Department or CrimeStoppers at 304-255-STOP.
