Troopers with the Princeton detachment of the West Virginia State Police are investigating a case where a gun was brought to school. It happened on Wednesday, Nov. 4, 2015.
According to a release from the West Virginia State Police, there was a fight between two students that lead to the discovery of the gun. The student was a girl and has not been identified because she is a minor. The handgun was not loaded when it was discovered by school personnel.
Sgt. D.W. Miller with the Princeton Detachment took the student into custody. She was taken to Mercer County Circuit Court where Judge William Sadler ordered the girl to be taken to a juvenile detention center until a hearing can be held.
