Children rescued from swift water in Dameron, WV


A scary moment for some children on Tuesday, July 14, 2015 after they apparently became trapped in some fast running water.  There was a report of children who were stuck in the water around 11:45 a.m. 

Coal River and Trap Hill Volunteer Fire Departments were called to the scene.  Officials said there were four children and one adult in the water.  A firefighter arrived within five minutes and began rescue efforts.  All of those who were trapped in the water were rescued successfully and no one was taken to the hospital.  The entire rescue effort was completed in around 45 minutes.
