FORT WORTH, Texas (AP) – Fifth-ranked TCU and West Virginia came into the Big 12 the same season. They have been close ever since.

Their three conference meetings have been decided by a combined five points, including overtime games the first two seasons when they also had identical records. The Horned Frogs won last year with a game-ending field goal.

They play again Thursday night at TCU, which has won its first four Big 12 games.

Defending Big 12 co-champion TCU is 7-0 going into its first home game in nearly four weeks.

The Mountaineers (3-3, 0-3) are still looking for their first Big 12 victory this season, after losing in consecutive weeks to Oklahoma, Oklahoma State and Baylor – the league’s other ranked teams that TCU still has to play in November.
