Community Career Fair planned in Raleigh County for laid-off miners


Those recently laid off in the mining industry will have the opportunity to learn more about other career options Monday, Dec. 14th in Raleigh County.

A Community Career Fair is planned to take place at Liberty High School in Glen Daniel. The event will feature workshops on competitive resume writing and online searching, according to Faculty Senate President Everett Rodriguez. Liberty faculty members will be on hand to help proofread resumes.

There will also be representatives present from various educational institutions to speak about education options and enrollment.

The event will take place from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. It is open to the public and all are welcome. Liberty High School is located at 1700 Coal River Road in Glen Daniel.
