It’s starting to feel a lot like fall again. That means the Crab Orchard Corn Maze and Pisgah Pumpkin Patch is getting ready to open in Tazewell County. The popular attraction opens on September 10, 2016 and runs through October 30, 2016. It’s been going on for 3 years now. Not only will you get to try to make it out of the corn maze, there will be wagon rides, food, and a whole lot of pumpkins. During the week, they only do pre-scheduled tours.
Executive Director of the Crab Orchard Museum Charlotte Whitted said, “On the weekends the hours on Friday are from 5 o’clock in the afternoon until 10. On Saturday, we open at 10 in the morning and close at 10 o’clock at night and those nights are for flashlight tours so bring your flashlight. It’s kind of fun to get lost in the corn and find your way out in the dark.”
On Sundays they are open from 1 p.m. until dark. It’s located right off of Route 460 right across from the Crab Orchard Museum.
