The Chairperson of CrimeStoppers of Raleigh County, Margaret Rader, spoke at the Beckley Rotary luncheon on Tuesday, Oct. 11, 2016. Rader was there to let business leaders know how the community has come forward to help solve recent serious crimes, including a recent murder which lead law enforcement to a suspect in New Jersey. Rader said this is an important part of unifying residents with their local law enforcement.
“We have to teach the younger generation that it is their civic duty to respect their law enforcement officers and to help them.” said Rader. “If they see something, say something.
October was declared CrimeStoppers Awareness Month by Beckley Mayor Rob Rappold. Anyone with information about a crime can leave tips anonymously by calling 304-255-STOP, or sending a tip using the P3 Tips app on their smart phone.
