Drug bust in Oak Hill leads to counterfeiting arrest

State Troopers with the Oak Hill Detachment were able to make an arrest for counterfeiting while assisting with a drug bust.  Cpl. J.S. Syner and Trooper M.R. Shaffer assisted the Central Task Force with a search at a home on 4th St. in Oak Hill.

While the Troopers were helping with the search, they noticed items that are typically used for making fake money.  They were able to get an additional search warrant and found a “large amount of counterfeit U.S. currency” and the electronic equipment to make the money. 

Greg Campbell was arrested on charges of Counterfeiting and Conspiracy to Commit a Felony.  He was taken to the Southern Regional Jail. The investigation is still open and more charges could be filed in the case.
