Drug round up begins in Fayette County

Fayette County Deputies and officers with the Central West Virginia Drug Task Force fanned out across the county on Wednesday, Aug. 16, 2017 to round up suspected drug dealers.  They have warrants for 26 people in connection with ongoing drug investigations.  As of 3:45 p.m. on Wednesday, law enforcement officers had already arrested six of the suspects.

  • Michael Dougan, 28,  of Oak Hill is facing two counts of Delivery of a Controlled Substance
  • Robert Newman, 51, of Victor is facing two counts of Delivery of a Controlled Substance
  • Raymond Howells, Jr., 40, of Gauley Bridge is facing two counts of Delivery of a Controlled Substance
  • Justin Stanley, 32, of Fayetteville, WV is facing two counts of Delivery of a Controlled Substance
  • Jerry Beaver, 45, of Scarbro is facing three counts of Delivery of a Controlled Substance
  • Freddie McCallister, Jr., 44, of Fayetteville, WV is facing two counts of Delivery of a Controlled Substance

They were arraigned in magistrate court.  They are each being held on a $35,000 bond.  Deputies are still looking for the following people.

  1. Gregory Skaggs, 50, of Ansted is wanted on three counts of Delivery of a Controlled Substance
  2. Paul Adkins, 50, of Oak Hill is wanted on three counts of Delivery of a Controlled Substance
  3. Shannon Carte, 46, of Victor is wanted on two counts of Delivery of a Controlled Substance
  4. Christopher Layne, 43, of Victor is wanted on four counts of Delivery of a Controlled Substance
  5. Bobbie Bickford, 40, of Rosedale Trailer Park in Oak Hill is wanted on two counts of Delivery of a Controlled Substance and one count of Conspiracy to commit a felony
  6. Chris Burnette, 21, of Meadow Bridge is wanted on two counts of Delivery of a Controlled Substance
  7. Wesley Bowles, 33, of Meadow Bridge is wanted on two counts of Delivery of a Controlled Substance
  8. Jamie Baker, 44, of Rosedale Trailer Park in Oak Hill is wanted on two counts of Delivery of a Controlled Substance and one count of Conspiracy to Commit a Felony
  9. James Housley, 46, of Smithers is wanted on one count of Delivery of a Controlled Substance
  10. William Chapman, 32, of Mount Carbon is wanted on one count of Delivery of a Controlled Substance and one count of Conspiracy to Commit a Felony
  11. Brittany Hopkins, 23, of Mount Carbon is wanted on one count of Delivery of a Controlled Substance and one count of Conspiracy for Commit a Felony
  12. Tyson Kincaid, 41, of Mount Hope is wanted on one count of Delivery of a Controlled Substance
  13. Brittany Clough Williams, 26, of Powellton is wanted on one count of Delivery of a Controlled Substance
  14. Amanda Brown, 37, of Belva is wanted on two counts of Delivery of a Controlled Substance
  15. Joey Oiler, 46, of Smithers is wanted on two counts of Delivery of a Controlled Substance
  16. Russell Lee Taylor (AKA Lee Taylor), 41, of Mount Hope is wanted on two counts of Delivery of a Controlled Substance and one count of Conspiracy to commit a felony
  17. Penny Browning, 24, of Oak Hill is wanted on one count of Delivery of a Controlled Substance and one count of Conspiracy to Commit a Felony.  She is also wanted for failing to appear in court and for skipping out on a previous bond.
  18. Joshua Luke Jarrett, 26, of Fayetteville, WV is wanted on three counts of Delivery of a Controlled Substance
  19. Kevin Browning, 48, of Oak Hill is wanted on two counts of Delivery of a Controlled Substance
  20. Roger Ingram, 39, of Oak Hill is wanted on two counts of Delivery of a Controlled Substance

Deputies said that the drugs which were bought from these people by confidential informants were primarily cocaine, heroin and methamphetamine.  Some of the purchases also included prescription pills.

“Drugs  are a scourge in every community across our County,” said Sheriff Mike Fridley.  “We are constantly working to identify and arrest individuals engaged in the sale and delivery of dangerous drugs.”

“These investigations are greatly facilitated through the information we receive through the public,” add Fayette County Prosecutor Larry Harrah.  “Investigators follow up on each tip received.  It may take a while, but we are working diligently to effectively address the drug problem so prevalent in our communities.”
