West Virginia State Troopers will be on the lookout for drunk and impaired drivers on Friday, Aug. 14, 2015. A sobriety checkpoint will be set up on WV Route 10 in Oceana from 7 p.m to 1 a.m. on Saturday.
Troopers said that the goal of the checkpoint is to keep people from driving under the influence of drugs and alcohol. It is also to educate drivers about the dangers and consequences of driving under the influence. People in the community are asked to help law enforcement officers in their prevention efforts by reporting impaired drivers.
