Firefighter Injured In Bluefield House Fire

Bluefield West Virginia Firefighters are investigating a house fire that happened just after 11:00 p.m. on Wednesday November 2, 2016.  Bluefield Fire Chief Rick Cary said Bluefield Firefighter Bryan Carr was injured.  The house is on Highland Avenue in Bluefield.  Cary said the fire started in the back of the house.  The home was 50 percent involved when crews arrived.  No one was home when the fire started.

Cary said, “We did have 1 injury.  1 firefighter did get hurt, fell through the floor hurt his back but he has been since treated by BRMC and released.  He’s got a couple days off but he’s fine.”

No word on what started the fire.  Cary said the home is a total loss.
