Flood-Affected Football Players Get a Pep Talk

It’s no secret that football is more or less a cornerstone of life in West Virginia. When the Mountain State’s way of life is threatened by natural disasters, her own come home to help uplift everyone especially the high school football players.

Florida State University Head Football Coach Jimbo Fisher was one of a slew of West Virginia natives to help encourage the football players from Richwood, Clay County, and Herbert Hoover, whose athletic facilities were all affected by flooding.

Florida State University and University of Alabama (whose head coach, Nick Saban, is also a WV native) are sending donations to the football programs in late July.
