Four overdoses in 24 hours prompts emergency warning in Harrison County

Police in Harrison County issued an emergency warning to the public Thursday night during a press conference after at least four people have overdosed on heroin in the last 24 hours.

Authorities say a deadly brand of heroin mixed with the synthetic opioid, fentanyl is circulating in Harrison County.
The heroin is stamped in blue ink displaying the words “jungle killer”.
They warned anyone who finds stamped bags of the drug – even empty ones – to report it immediately.
If the drug makes contact with the skin, it can be absorbed into the bloodstream and can cause death.
Two people overdosed in Clarksburg; one in Bridgeport; and one in Anmoore.
All four were revived with narcan and sent to a local hospital
