The National Park Service is hosting a solar eclipse viewing at Grandview on Monday, August 21st. There will be activities for both kids and adults to enjoy while they wait for this once in a lifetime event.
Interpretive Park Ranger, Molly Williams, said park ranger are prepared to make this a fun and safe event.
“Its very important you do not look at the sun during the eclipse. We will have the appropriate eyewear for folks if you’d like to join us. We ask that you bring some chairs, some blankets and we’ll ask for some clear weather,” said Williams.
The event will being at 1 p.m. and last until 4 p.m. at the Grandview Visitor Center. All members of the public are welcome to attend.
