A Greenbrier County woman is arraigned on charges for robbing and attacking a woman in Lewisburg on July 31, 2017
Taylor Ward is facing first degree robbery, wanton endangerment, assault during commission of a felony, grand larceny, and conspiracy to commit a felony.
According to a criminal complaint on July 31st a woman and her mother went to pick up Ward on Blue Sulphur Pike. When the woman went inside the house she was attacked by Ward and Joshua Garner. The victim told deputies she was kicked and punched repeatedly and then drug into the bathroom.
Once in the bathroom Ward and Garner took money from the victim’s wallet, and Ward put a gun in the victim’s mouth.
According to a criminal complaint, the victim was able to get away, but the suspects chased her outside and continued to beat her. The victim and her mother told deputies the suspects shot at the vehicle before running into a nearby field.
The criminal complaint states Garner was hiding in a tree and fell, breaking bones in his left leg.
Deputies say both suspects were transported to a local hospital.
Deputies were able to talk with Garner in the hospital.
Garner told deputies that the victim robbed him of the $2,000 he was planning to use to by drugs.
Ward was arraigned on Monday and given a $10,000 bond.
