In less than two weeks, Travis McClintic will take on the Greenbrier River for his Muscles for Miracles 2016 challenge.

Travis is a physical therapist in Greenbrier County who is on his third Muscles for Miracles challenge. He chooses to take on extreme physical activities,
in order to raise money for good causes. His first 24 hour challenge was to walk the entire Greenbrier River Trail, which he and friends completed with just minutes to spare. Most recently, Travis biked the entire length of West Virginia Route 219, going from Marlinton to the Virginia border.

This year, he is raising funds for ALS research, in honor of local resident Chally Erb. On May 7th and 8th he will attempt to kayak from Marlinton to Hinton in just 24 hours.

“This year I was looking around and  I like to keep it local and choose someone that’s really important to this community, so Chally was a natural kind of choice. As a physical therapist, I work with people like Chally who have physical ailments and disabilities a lot. It’s important to my job as well as important to me to be able to give back and help them,” says McClintic.
