A man who killed two people while drinking and driving was sentenced to serve jail time on Tuesday, Feb. 10, 2015. Brodey Sheppard pleaded guilty to two counts of DUI Causing Death.
Sheppard was driving under the influence in February 2013 when his car hit a tree. Two people who were riding in the car were killed as a result of the accident. Those two people were 63-year-old Ann Witt and 3-year-old Shaelynn Morris.
Sheppard was sentenced to serve one year in jail for each count and also pay a $1,000 fine. The jail sentences will be served at the same time. Sheppard was given the option to have the final six months of this sentence suspended if he agreed to spend three years in probation and participate in a day report program.
