Greenbrier County sheriff’s deputies are investigating after they say a teenager crashed into a school bus loaded with children.

The crash happened around 7:45 Monday morning on Ft. Springs Road at the entrance to Eastern Greenbrier Middle School.

Deputy Will Nester says Andrew Thomas Davis, 18, was distracted by another driver while driving.  He says he didn’t see the school bus in front of him had stopped.

Davis crashed into the bus and part of his car went under the bus.

Davis told deputies he was smoking pot several hours before the crash happened.

He is charged with DUI causing injury.   Children on the bus were injured.  Several were taken to Greenbrier Valley Medical Center for treatment.

Davis is out on bond.
