Greenbrier Valley Airport Moves to Phase Two of Construction

The Greenbrier Valley Airport is sharing exciting news. They are now in phase two of their multimillion dollar construction project. Utilities at the airport are almost finished being put underground, and great progress is being made on the update of the runway.

They also have an announcement about their new air service coming this fall. Airport manager Stephen Snyder says, “we expect new air service to start October first, which is the last day of the contract for Silver Airways. We do expect the new airline to be in place, we do expect fares to look something like $39, $49, $59 jet service to Charlotte.”

Snyder says there is also a partnership in the works between Beckley, Clarksburg, Parkersburg, and the Greenbrier Valley Airport which would allow for east and affordable intra-state travel. He also says official announcements on a new airline will be made soon.
